April 23, 2010This session has been a long time coming. My good friend, Amy, recently had her third child. A precious baby girl. Every time we planned to take photos, something came up. The girls have had their outfits for over a month, but scheduling the actual session has been really difficult. I was finally able to photograph the trio and aren’t they just as cute as can be?! The girls are 4, 20 months and 8 weeks. One for now! More will be posted soon!
Look at that smile on “G”. She already knows how to work the camera! Love it!!

Before and After
April 12, 2010I often get emails from friends asking me to retouch their personal photos. While I’m happy to oblige, I’m definitely not a pro by any means in PhotoShop. I have a few tricks up my sleeve for getting rid of unwanteds, but trust me, it’s nothing really sophisticated or fancy. I’m self taught on PS, you know!
Here’s an email I got over the weekend… “Anyway to brighten this up? Maybe get rid of the legs behind him? I’m sending you the link to the web album too. Could you just give me some pointers…aside from get a faster camera! Thanks!”

Sneak Peek: Jack | Palm Beach Newborn Photographer
April 9, 2010This little guy was 20 days old when I got to meet him. He had such an animated face. Oh, how I love new little babies! …He smelled so sweet and clean, too!
I was even able to capture a smile at the end of our session.
(By the way, I’m trying out a new watermark for my photos. Every time I used my old one on photos with darker backgrounds it was barely visible. This works much better!)

Special Delivery: The Logo Hobo
April 8, 2010I mailed out a special package today! Who will the lucky client be? =)
I’ve been searching for a while now for a tote bag to send out as a thank you to my wedding clients since I’m starting to book more and more weddings this year. I wanted something cute, different and fun! I finally found something that has an equal balance of all three. Yay! I love the heart charm, too. So appropriate!

So what do you do with your dress after the wedding and you have to travel half way around the world to get home? Have a trash-the-dress session of course! Brittany did not want to travel back to Japan with her bulky wedding dress, so about six months ago we talked about doing this session. She knew she wanted beach, waves and rocks. The weather was beautiful and we couldn’t have chosen a better location.

Steven was totally trying not get wet. That didn’t last very long! …and Brittany with her contagious smile.

This couple is close to my heart. The bride is like a little sister to me. We’ve known each other f-o-r-e-v-e-r! A little over a year ago, she and her fiance moved to Japan, where he is stationed in the Air Force. I was so sad to see her go, but excited about her new adventure. They made it official about three weeks ago in New York, but were disappointed with the photos they received from their wedding photographer. We had originally scheduled a trash-the-dress session, but when I heard how upset her family was over the wedding photos, I switched gears and focused on getting those special photos that captured their love. They’re going back to Japan today (tear!) and I already miss them so so much!
Don’t worry, we did do a trash-the-dress session. Those photos will be up shortly! It was such a fun time!
