Edson and Michelle: Day after session | Miami Beach Wedding Photographer

Okay, so it wasn’t the day after, but today I met up with the lovely Edson and Michelle De Los Rios at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden to take some formals. I photographed their wedding on October 9th. It was great getting to see the happy couple again. My girl Keba was on hand to touch up Michelle’s make-up (and hold my light stand) – thanks, Keba! Brittany & Steven – Part II: Trash the Dress | Jupiter Wedding Photographer

So what do you do with your dress after the wedding and you have to travel half way around the world to get home? Have a trash-the-dress session of course! Brittany did not want to travel back to Japan with her bulky wedding dress, so about six months ago we talked about doing this session. She knew she wanted beach, waves and rocks. The weather was beautiful and we couldn’t have chosen a better location.
Brittany laughs like this, like, ALL the time!Steven was totally trying not get wet. That didn’t last very long! …and Brittany with her contagious smile.

Brittany & Steven – Part I: Bridal Session | Palm Beach Wedding Photographer

This couple is close to my heart. The bride is like a little sister to me. We’ve known each other f-o-r-e-v-e-r! A little over a year ago, she and her fiance moved to Japan, where he is stationed in the Air Force. I was so sad to see her go, but excited about her new adventure. They made it official about three weeks ago in New York, but were disappointed with the photos they received from their wedding photographer. We had originally scheduled a trash-the-dress session, but when I heard how upset her family was over the wedding photos, I switched gears and focused on getting those special photos that captured their love. They’re going back to Japan today (tear!) and I already miss them so so much!

Don’t worry, we did do a trash-the-dress session. Those photos will be up shortly! It was such a fun time!
