Photographer’s Auction for Breast Cancer: F/Stop Breast Cancer

I am so happy to be part of this AMAZING event. My friend, Lydia Shannon, started out with an idea that blew up into this massive live auction event! And get this… she is going to SHAVE HER HEAD when she reaches her goal to raise $10,000 for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Check out her short video about the event here.
The auction will run for five days. It starts on Thursday, October 14th through Tuesday, October 19th. You can bid on mentor sessions and photography products from some of the industry’s top photographers. Some photographers are auctioning sessions for their customers or donating session fees. All proceeds benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Even if you are not interested in a mentoring session or a family session with a contributing photographer, you can still make a difference. Click HERE to donate and get Lydia to that $10k mark. As of right now she’s 62% of the way there!! I want to see her shave her head. And believe me, you will get to see it on video, too! =)

Special Delivery: The Logo Hobo

I’ve been searching for a while now for a tote bag to send out as a thank you to my wedding clients since I’m starting to book more and more weddings this year. I wanted something cute, different and fun! I finally found something that has an equal balance of all three. Yay! I love the heart charm, too. So appropriate!

Brianna Graham Workshop
March 29, 2010I’ve been in Tampa for the past few days attending a workshop by the amazing Brianna Graham. Seriously, if you have never seen her work, you should check it out. Ah-mazing!! She is so ridiculously nice and so good at what she does. I’m in awe!
Yesterday we shot an Urban session in the streets of Ybor City. The little girls were gorgeous and worked so well with the cameras, especially considering there were about 20 cameras pointing straight at them at one time!
Today is the last day of the workshop. Three days went by so fast!!!!! I’ve learned so much and can’t wait to try out my new techniques when I get back home. Email me if you are interested in an Urban session. =)

Revamped!
March 3, 2010The Jennifer Weiss Photography website has a whole new look. I call it “vintage with a modern twist”. I love the textures and the frames. So fun! It definitely represents my style. Special thanks to Terry at Sassy Designs for some of the uber-licious papers that were used. Pretty soon my site and my blog will be donned with a brand new logo, too. I can’t wait!
